In early 2023, LuxeShowcase was approached by a renowned Swiss heritage watchmaker seeking to refurbish their flagship boutique in Lucerne, Switzerland. The brand required a full suite of custom display solutions that would reflect their “light luxury” ethos while strengthening brand identity—moving beyond standard retail fixtures to create an immersive, museum-grade presentation aligned with haute horlogerie craftsmanship.
Design & Material Highlights
The display system was conceived around a “metal + texture” material palette:
Frame & Structure: Brushed copper-gold and black-gold metal framing, paired with matte walnut veneer and subtle marble inlays.
Glass & Lighting: Anti-reflective, high-clarity glass was used across all cases to eliminate glare and showcase watch dials, movements, and finishing. Integrated custom dimmable LEDs provide uniform, gentle illumination that highlights details without risk of light damage over time.
Modular Formats: The collection included wall-embedded curved displays, freestanding central islands, elongated table cases, and niche cabinets—each designed to accommodate different collections, from flagship series to limited editions.
Key Features
Blended Function Zones: Display cases were strategically paired with dedicated areas—private consultation lounges, a refreshment bar, and interactive walls—to support both presentation and high-touch client experience.
Contextual Visual Themes: Each zone introduced subtle material accents (geometric textured walls, artisan artwork, tonal lighting) to deepen narrative cohesion between product and space.
Adaptive Layouts: Cases allow easy reconfiguration to match seasonal launches or special exhibitions, giving the boutique long-term versatility.
Outcome
Delivered and installed ahead of schedule, the display system has successfully elevated the boutique’s ambiance into a cohesive “gallery-like” environment. Client feedback highlights improved customer engagement, longer dwell time, and enhanced perceived value of the timepieces. The project has since served as a reference for the brand’s upcoming locations in Europe and Asia.
