Project Overview
This case is a full-store display cabinet customization project for the first flagship store of a high-end perfume collection brand on Nanjing West Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai. It is a benchmark project for a full-store custom fit-out for a premium perfume retailer in Shanghai. The store mainly sells global niche salon perfumes, imported fragrance body care, and limited-edition makeup products. Based on the light luxury cream-style space design shown in the images, the entire store includes four major types of custom cabinets: curved recessed perfume back wall cabinets, marble-top center island test fragrance counters, multifunctional makeup experience tables, and leisure auxiliary low cabinets. These achieve integrated functions of product display, fragrance testing, customer seating, and stock storage. The project covered the whole one-stop process from on-site measurement, space and cabinet design, factory mass production, to on-site installation. After completion, it became a popular internet-famous fragrance check-in store in the Jing'an Temple commercial area and is a classic case of high-end perfume cabinet customization in Shanghai.

Client Requirements
Display requirements: Recessed wall cabinets with layered warm white LED light strips, dividing layers to distinguish full-size perfumes, travel sprays/miniatures, and scented decorative items. Curved shelves to accommodate irregularly shaped perfume bottles. Center island counters use waterproof and corrosion-resistant artificial stone tops suitable for perfume spraying and testing.
Aesthetic style requirements: Cabinet bodies in a light luxury baked finish of milk tea pink and light grey two-tone, with many curved, rounded corners. Vertical grooved textured doors + fine gold metal trims, matching the store's crystal chandeliers, cloud-shaped ceiling, and light-toned hard furnishings – consistent with the sophisticated and light luxury tone of Jing'an's high-end commercial district.
Functional storage requirements: Fully enclosed storage cabinets under the back wall cabinets with silent drawers and hidden locks for storing valuable backup perfumes. Wiring channels reserved inside the center island cabinets to facilitate wiring for light strips and testing equipment.
Commercial scalability requirements: Reserved brand logo placement and electronic shelf label slots on all cabinets for future brand updates and product category adjustments. The leisure area auxiliary low cabinets serve both product display and customer seating, enhancing the store's experiential appeal and social media check-in potential.
Site Survey & Solution Design
Our designers visited the Jing'an store to take precise on-site measurements of the space. Based on the high-end customer positioning of the Nanjing West Road commercial district, and taking into account the cloud-shaped ceiling and curved spatial structure, we produced three sets of renderings for the display cabinet layout. We optimized the in-store customer traffic flow and adjusted cabinet spacing in accordance with fire safety regulations. Finally, we finalized the production drawings for the curved light luxury cabinets shown in the images.
Factory Precision Manufacturing
We used E0-grade eco-friendly solid wood substrates combined with automotive-grade baking paint finish. The curved back wall cabinets, vertical grooved door panels, and center island cabinets were produced in batches. At the same time, we custom-made anti-glare recessed LED light strips and stainless steel hardware fittings. Before leaving the factory, each cabinet underwent three quality inspections: load-bearing test, resistance to cosmetic corrosion test, and light aging test.
Off-Peak Staged Installation
The finished cabinets were delivered by dedicated trucks to the Jing'an project site. To avoid daytime crowds in the commercial district, our installation team worked during off-peak hours. The installation was carried out in separate zones – back wall cabinet area and center island area. We completed cabinet assembly, light strip wiring, floor leveling, and edge sealing, faithfully reproducing the curved cabinet shapes shown in the renderings.
On-Site Fine-Tuning & Final Acceptance
Based on the client's actual perfume placement tests, we fine-tuned some shelf heights and sample-size compartments. We delivered the cabinet warranty manual and lighting after-sales card, and completed the overall project acceptance and handover.
Client Feedback:
The actual finished cabinets are highly consistent with the design renderings. The light luxury milk tea-colored cabinets perfectly match the crystal chandeliers in the store.
The zoned back cabinets neatly organize nearly a thousand full-size perfumes and samples. The center island test countertops are resistant to perfume corrosion and easy to wipe clean for daily maintenance. The bottom storage space perfectly solves the store's stockpiling problem.
The reserved logo slots and price tag channels are extremely practical. New product launches can be arranged without modifying the cabinets, significantly saving renovation costs.
For the brand's two subsequent new branch stores in Pudong and Xuhui, they have confirmed continued collaboration with us for custom cabinets.
