Vivienne Westwood
legendary avant-garde British fashion brand
Vivienne Westwood is a legendary avant-garde British fashion brand founded by Vivienne Westwood, hailed as the Mother of Punk and the founder of punk culture within the fashion industry.
Since its inception, the brand has redefined public perceptions of fashion with a unique aesthetic blending rebellion, deconstruction and vintage charm.
For decades, it has transformed subcultural spirit into world-renowned luxury language. Rejecting mainstream aesthetics, it infuses uninhibited rebellious energy into classic vintage silhouettes. This contradictory and captivating temperament requires a physical retail space to fully communicate with consumers.
For this project, LUXE delivered full-service solutions including detailed design, manufacturing, on-site assembly and commissioning for Vivienne Westwood’s pop-up boutique in a domestic shopping mall, covering display cabinets, space partitions, illuminated brand signage, jewelry showcases and apparel hanging systems. This is far more than simple fixture fabrication. As a flagship fashion store display furniture supplier, we act as a strategic partner for brand physical space implementation. Our core mission is to translate Vivienne Westwood’s exclusive brand temperament through spatial and display design, bringing brand spirit from lookbooks and runways into real shopping mall scenes, enabling immersive perception of brand aesthetics the moment customers step into the space.
Vivienne Westwood’s design charm originates from conflicting aesthetics: classical tailoring paired with raw punk ruggedness. We embed this design philosophy throughout the whole cabinet system. Matte black steel forms the spatial framework, paired with diamond metal mesh partitions to deliver the primitive, powerful punk vibe. Meanwhile, warm timber flooring, woven art carpets and textured display plinths bring in gentle classical warmth.
An all-black store would be mistaken for an ordinary streetwear shop; excessive luxury ornamentation would erase punk essence. LUXE repeatedly refined material matching. The sharp contrast between cold hard metal and warm wood, semi-transparent mesh and solid panels perfectly reproduces the brand’s iconic aesthetic tension. We strike a balance between luxury retail standards and rebellious brand character, creating a sophisticated yet vibrant space, avant-garde without crudeness. It delivers distinctive brand recognition and avoids generic pop-up designs.
This pop-up shop is located in an open mall atrium, surrounded by heavy foot traffic and distracting visuals from adjacent retail outlets. Ordinary counters merely hold merchandise, while LUXE’s enclosed cabinet system functions as a large three-dimensional brand billboard.
We custom-built a backlit embossed Saturn logo wall, the brand’s signature emblem, embedded into the cabinet facade. Soft light flows along the contour of the Saturn sculpture, forming a striking visual focal point amid complex mall ambient lighting. Refined metal backlit lettering with sharp elegant lines is installed at the entrance.
A large reserved lightbox area on the side can directly showcase brand fashion campaign visuals. The full cabinet facades form an independent visual boundary. From afar, visitors can instantly identify Vivienne Westwood’s exclusive retail zone. We leverage cabinet facades to deliver brand impressions in advance, even before customers enter the store, driving foot traffic. The fixtures become brand communication media instead of simple merchandise holders.
The brand boasts a rich product portfolio, including ready-to-wear, Saturn jewelry accessories and leather goods, each category carrying its unique brand narrative. LUXE developed a targeted tiered display system aligned with brand storytelling and customer circulation routes. Enclosed low-reflection glass jewelry showcases are adopted for core jewelry collections.
Seamlessly joined cabinet panels, multi-layer cured matte paint and museum-grade uniform interior lighting quietly highlight metal and gemstone details, expressing the refined classical soul of brand accessories. Open adjustable metal hanging racks for ready-to-wear feature clean streamlined frames. They can be flexibly reconfigured for seasonal new arrivals, allowing customers to touch and inspect fabrics and experience the brand’s avant-garde tailoring and material quality.
These two display forms, one static and one dynamic, create layered storytelling. Visitors walk in past the outer brand facade, first sensing the rebellious brand spirit, then exploring ready-to-wear and jewelry in sequence. Guided by the spatial flow, customers fully experience Vivienne Westwood’s brand story. Displays no longer separately showcase individual products, but guide customer journeys and shape brand perception.
This principle is consistently upheld by fashion boutique interior display supplier LUXE when serving high-end fashion brands. Our precise seamless joint technique eliminates panel gaps and cheap burrs.
Metal components go through multi-stage polishing and anti-corrosion treatment for consistent smooth touch. Multi-coat cured paint is scratch-resistant and maintains uniform matte finish for a long time. Low-reflection high-clarity glass is applied for jewelry showcases, balancing anti-theft, dust-proof performance and authentic product presentation.
All cabinet structures, hardware and lighting follow international luxury retail benchmarks. We understand even minor flaws can devalue a premium brand. Rigorous high-standard craftsmanship is LUXE’s foundation for competing in the high-end market. Even for short-term pop-up projects, we apply permanent retail boutique quality standards to ensure consistent and elevated brand presentation.
