Design Concept
The experienced design team at LUXE Showcases believes that to enhance the brand's resilient and unique qualities, the lines of the cosmetics retail display should be more robust and varied. To better showcase the colors of cosmetics, adjustments to light color temperature, angles, and brightness were recommended. Considering the differences in store space, they suggested adding a feature design for a lipstick wall to attract customers and made professional upgrades in lighting:
1.Basic Lighting
—Uniform Lighting: Recessed downlights were evenly installed in the ceiling to provide soft, uniform basic lighting, ensuring the entire store is bright without noticeable shadows. The color temperature of the lights can be chosen between 4000K - 4500K, close to natural light, allowing customers to clearly observe the product appearance and color without color discrepancies caused by lighting.
—Glare Prevention: The cosmetics retail display utilizes downlights with anti-glare designs to prevent direct light from straining customers' eyes, enhancing shopping comfort.
2.Accent Lighting
—Product Contour Light: LED light strips were installed along the internal edges of the cosmetics retail display to outline the showcase's contours and illuminate the products' sides, highlighting their three-dimensionality. The color of the light strips can be adjusted based on product type; warm tones for the makeup area to enhance color vibrancy and neutral tones for the skincare area to emphasize purity.
—Focused Spotlights: Adjustable small spotlights were installed above key products, such as popular lipsticks and limited edition skincare items, with color temperatures between 3000K - 3500K to create a warm atmosphere while accurately illuminating the product to highlight texture, color, and packaging details.
—Layered Lighting: For multi-layered showcases, hidden LED light strips were installed above each layer to illuminate the displayed products, preventing upper layer products from blocking the light of those below, ensuring each item is clearly showcased.
3.Mood Lighting
—Color Enhancement: In specific areas, such as the brand image wall and the lipstick display area, colored LED lights were used to create ambiance. For example, using red ambient lighting in the lipstick display area to enhance a lively atmosphere and increase visual impact.
—Light and Shadow Effects: By utilizing contrasts of bright and dark light and changes in shadow, unique visual effects were created. For instance, during the display of high-end product lines, partial light and shadow treatments made products the focal point, reflecting their exclusivity and high value.
4.Smart Lighting
—Brightness Adjustment: The cosmetics store showcase display is equipped with an intelligent lighting control system that automatically adjusts the brightness of the lights based on customer flow and environmental lighting changes throughout different times of the day. For example, during quieter times when the store has just opened or is nearing closing, brightness is reduced; during peak periods, brightness is increased to create a lively atmosphere.
