DECORTÉ
Japanese luxury skincare brand by KOSÉ Corporation
Founded in 1970, DECORTÉ is a Japanese luxury skincare brand by KOSÉ Corporation. Having combined Japanese esthetics with the most advanced skincare research, DECORTÉ has created the iconic skincare routine of “lotion first, then milk." Its products include premium skincare, make-up, and fragrance, and its famous lines include the Super Aqua-Micro Essence Lotion, Avocado Milk, the AQ Meliority series, and the White Sandalwood series.
In terms of brand visual identity, DECORTÉ favors delicate rhombus embossed textures and low-saturation quiet luxury aesthetics, pursuing harmony between skincare efficacy and sensory experience. Therefore, retail displays must deliver product presentation while meeting strict luxury brand standards for material precision, lighting atmosphere, craftsmanship, and spatial storytelling.
Main products: Eau De Parfum, Eau De Toilette, Water-based Cologne, Water-Based Fragrance.
In global high-end retail design, brands are putting greater emphasis on spatial storytelling and customer experience efficiency. Luxury beauty retail design worldwide focuses on translating brand spirit into physical form. Counters have evolved from simple product shelves into brand experience hubs, which perform multiple roles: brand recognition, customer retention, product sampling, fragrance testing, and sales conversion.
For this DECORTÉ counter project, LUXE breaks down brand tonality into four actionable spatial dimensions: Brand Identity, Material Language: Crafting the perfume display cabinet with glass doors, Lighting Hierarchy, and Experience Touchpoints.
1. Brand Identity:
Strong brand recognition is achieved. Large illuminated brand lettering, black-and-white contrasting structures, and signature rhombus textures are eye-catching highlights from afar. The lit-up “DECORTÉ” logo provides a strong wayfinding sign. Combined with the extended black ceiling frame, it forms a distinct brand boundary within the open mall environment. Continuous rhombus embossing on white cabinet surfaces reinforces brand memory, turning flat graphic assets into tangible spatial language to build a tailored perfume kiosk mall.
All materials are traceable with ESG reports to satisfy mandatory brand requirements. We adopt recycled aluminum, brushed stainless steel, low-iron ultra-clear tempered glass with no green edge, and recyclable acrylic as primary substrates. All adhesives and finishes are low-VOC and odor-friendly. Volatile emissions from finishes and glue are controlled at ≤0.03 mg/m³ to prevent unwanted odors from mixing with perfume scents and preserve pure olfactory experience in fragrance zones. LUXE delivers DECORTÉ’s. It's refined aesthetic through subtle contrast rather than excessive ornamentation. Matte black painted structures pair with soft embossed white panels, while metal trims and high-transparency glass enhance airiness and sophistication.
Products are displayed in layered arrangements. Zoned lighting is adopted instead of flat uniform illumination. Overhead brand backlights attract distant attention; recessed linear lights guide movement; internal cabinet backlighting highlights hero products; spotlights accentuate bottle contours and the transparency of essence bottles. Tuned soft color rendering minimizes reflection and color distortion, letting customers view the true hue and texture of products.
The counter combines product visibility, accessibility to sampling, and fragrance experience design. Open-style counters shorten the distance between shoppers and merchandise. Core product lines are placed at eye level. Focused display structures and scent testing stations in fragrance zones extend dwell time and deepen customers’ aromatic memory of the brand. As a custom fragrance display case factory, we help brands forge distinctive brand impressions.
LUXE offers full turnkey services: 3D modeling, material sampling, CNC manufacturing, pre-assembly inspection, and on-site installation & commissioning. We thoroughly study each brand’s aesthetic language, interpret its global visual heritage and contemporary expression, and translate the brand identity into physical space. Every offline touchpoint becomes an extension of brand sophistication.
