Project Overview
This project is a flagship perfume boutique located in MixC World, Nanshan, Shenzhen. The overall space adopts "flowing water" as its core design language. Through the visual combination of mirrored metal walls, wavy textured ceilings, and turquoise art pendant lights, it creates a high-end retail environment that blends futuristic sensibility with natural rhythm. The store features an open layout, with a central stainless-steel display podium surrounded by backlit display shelving, which reinforces the visual focus on the products while also optimizing customer flow and experiential comfort.

Client Requirements
Spatial Visual Requirements:
The store is positioned as a high-end, trend-forward aquatic light-luxury style. It requires extensive use of water-ripple mirrored stainless steel for wall finishes, paired with a large-scale turquoise streamlined art pendant ceiling installation. The overall space should be highly reflective and upscale, with strong photo-worthy appeal that resonates with the young, high-end consumer demographic of MixC World.
Display and Showcase Requirements:
Custom-built multiple full-wall embedded backlit grid perfume display cabinets, with layered shelving to organize and showcase various perfume bottles, featuring soft, even illumination for transparent product presentation;
Custom large mirrored stainless-steel central island test-and-try perfume counter, with testers placed on the surface, serving as the core experiential zone;
Custom long glass negotiation/display counter with integrated lighting on the right side, accompanied by soft seating for consultations, combining product display with fragrance advisory services;
All display fixtures to be made of metal and ultra-clear tempered glass, wear- and scratch-resistant to withstand high foot traffic in the mall, with sturdy structures that are easy to clean.
Color and Material Requirements:
Overall, polished silver water-ripple stainless steel is the primary visual material, complemented by white illuminated cabinets, black-and-white flowing-vein marble flooring, with turquoise art installations as accent color highlights, and low-saturation light gray soft furnishings to balance the cool metallic tone—achieving a luxurious yet non-heavy aesthetic.
Operational Practicality Requirements:
Ample storage space must be reserved inside the display fixtures;
Lighting should be controllable by zone for easy daily restocking and product rearrangement by staff;
The entire set of display units should be modularized for easy disassembly, transport, and access via standard mall freight elevators;
The overall design should adopt a streamlined, minimalist form with no sharp edges to ensure customer safety during movement.
Delivery and Installation Requirements:
All display fixtures are to be factory-pre-fabricated, with internal lighting and glass cabinet assembly completed in the factory, then packed and shipped as finished units;
Our team can provide professional on-site delivery, installation, lighting adjustment, and cabinet assembly—providing a complete turnkey service without the client needing to source separate installers;
Delivery will include complete construction drawings, lighting wiring diagrams, and cabinet maintenance manuals.
Preliminary Design Coordination
The client provided the original floor plan drawings of the Shenzhen MixC World retail space. In accordance with the mall's construction specifications and the operational traffic flow of a perfume boutique, our designers conducted on-site measurements of the store dimensions. Incorporating the client's desired marine-metallic light-luxury theme, we produced 3D panoramic renderings to finalize the layout scheme for the water-ripple stainless steel walls, the turquoise ceiling art installation, and the various types of perfume display cabinets. After repeated adjustments to the number of grid shelving tiers, the dimensions of the central island counter, and the lighting brightness of the consultation display cases, the plan was confirmed and detailed production and construction drawings were issued.
Factory Production and Manufacturing
Based on the finalized drawings, the display cabinets were broken down into production modules, with simultaneous parallel production across dedicated workshop sections: stainless steel metal fabrication, painted cabinet bodies, glass processing, and lighting assembly. The mirrored stainless steel received anti-fingerprint and water-resistant treatment; the white cabinet bodies were finished with eco-friendly matte lacquer; the ultra-clear tempered glass was edge-polished with rounded corners; and built-in low-voltage warm-white LED strips were installed. The entire suite—including the central island test-and-try counter, wall-mounted grid perfume cabinets, and the glass consultation display case—was produced as a complete set. Each cabinet module was individually assembled and its lighting system tested, with wiring inspections and seam closures checked, followed by a full quality inspection of all finished units.
Finished Product Packing and Shipping
After all display cabinets passed the testing phase, they were separately packed module by module using shockproof foam and wooden crates, then dispatched via dedicated transport to the designated unloading point at Shenzhen Nanshan MixC World. Accessory kits, lighting controllers, and installation tools were distributed alongside the shipments.
Professional On-Site Installation and Final Delivery
Our professional installation team arrived at the site simultaneously and strictly adhered to the mall's construction safety and operational guidelines throughout the installation process. The scope of work included cabinet assembly and fixation, glass panel installation, lighting circuit connection and calibration, seam fine-tuning, and overall cleaning. In parallel, our team coordinated with the installation of soft furnishings and the ceiling art installation, ensuring precision and safety standards at every stage. Upon completion, a full-store inspection of lighting and all cabinet units was carried out. Ultimately, the complete set of perfume display cabinets was flawlessly delivered, with the spatial visual effect achieving a high degree of fidelity to the original renderings.
Client Post-Installation Feedback
"From the drawings to the final installation, the team's interpretation of the 'water' concept far exceeded our expectations. Now, every customer who walks in first looks up at the pendant lights, then reaches out to feel the texture of the walls—and our trial-to-purchase rate has increased by 40%. What surprised us most is that the mirrored walls don't show smudges at all; instead, the reflections make the space feel larger and brighter. Even our cleaning staff say it's much easier to maintain than before."
